Bungay Bonanza!

So it’s done, our first show at the excellent Fisher Theatre in Bungay; and what a night!

The sell out show was packed to the rafters with lots of people ready to have a good time, and the audience didn’t disappoint us. Especially the ladies in Row B 🙂

Sadly, Kay (one of the singers) was unwell and unable to make the show (get well soon, Kay) and both Richard and Ritchie (Jimmy and Deco) were recovering from the flu. But Vocalzone, Sudafed and plenty of water did the trick…the show must go on!

Here are some photos of the night. Next show is at Whitstable Playhouse theatre on the beautiful Kent Coast. Tickets are disappearing quickly so get a wiggle on if you’re planning on coming. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

See you soon!

Basildon Shenanigans!

Last Thursday we performed our first show of 2018 to a packed house at Basildon’s infamous Towngate Theatre, and what a night it was!

We don’t usually perform shows on a school night so we weren’t entirely show how people would be feeling mid-week, but it turns out that the people of Basildon will party any night of the week.

We had some lovely comments after the show, and we’d also like to wish happy 50th Birthday to Kevin who got up on stage to sing a song with us.

Our next show is at the Fisher Theatre, Bungay, Norfolk. Have you got your tickets yet?

Commitments & Blues Brothers Rock Sudbury

It was another sell-out show for us, this time at the beautiful and intimate theatre, The Quay, in Sudbury.

Along with the help of Peter on sound and Joe on lights, the show was really pumping and the party atmosphere was rocking by the end of the night, with the brass players mixing in with the dancing and our Commitmentettes shaking their tailfeathers.

Feedback after the show was awesome with so many kind comments about the whole evening. Some people said they wished the show would never stop!

Thank you also to the theatre manager – Sharon Buckler – for her support in promoting the show.

If you’ve never visited The Quay, you really must. Located on the edge of the River Stour, the theatre shows many different shows and live bands – visit the Quay Theatre website here.

Our next show sees us visiting the Midlands with a trip to the Crescent Theatre next to the Old Canal, Birmingham.

Thank you so much, the Hazlitt & Maidstone

It’s the start of a new working week for most, but we’re still buzzing from the fantastic reception we received on Saturday from the audience at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone. The auditorium was electric!

Everyone at the Theatre was absolutely professional; including Natalie, Elaine, Michelle, Lilly on the box office, Sam in technical, Tash, and the two guys on sound and light George, and Rob.

After the standing ovation, we met with audience members who were full or praise as words like “amazing”, “authentic” and “absolutely brilliant” filled the air. Hearing comments like that are exactly why we do what we do!

Thank you also to those people who left comments on our Facebook page and those who took the time to contact the Hazlitt to express their thanks. You’re awesome and hopefully we’ll be back in 2019.

We’re next online at The Regal, Stowmarket on 11th October 2017. Tickets available now.

Here are some of the lovely comments we received:

A sell-out in Colchester!

Colchester Arts Centre is a venue that even Sister Mary would be proud of, and the venue once again provided a great backdrop to our second show of 2017.

The sell-out event was made even better by the superb help of Chris and Pete of the Arts Centre who provided superb sound and light for the show.

Feedback was excellent and the crowd was rocking; a great night had by all.

Our next show is at Haverhill Arts Centre on 13th May. See you there!

Thank you, Braintree Arts Theatre

It feels like a distant dream now, but our maiden show at Braintree Arts Theatre was a roaring success; and the people of Braintree made us feel very welcome!

Deco was as cocky as ever, Jimmy donned a shirt that Noel Edmunds would be proud of, and the Commitment Blue-ettes had their harmonies spot on. We even had a surprise guest appearance on harmonica by Chris Mallandain.

We’d also like to thank Phil and his technicians for being so helpful and accommodating on the night. Braintree Arts Theatre is a lovely venue. It’s modern, clean and the sound is great. If you’ve never visited you should.

So, on to the next show….Colchester Arts Centre on 6th May 2017. See you there!
